With more than XX treatment location across Delaware, Connections treats more than 40,000 patients annually, helping transform people’s lives.

Summary of Achievements toward Strategic Goals and Objectives

Summer 2016 – Opened three sober living homes — in Wilmington, Harrington and Milford.

Summer 2016  – Began participation with the New Castle County Police Department’s Hero Help Program and Dover Police Department’s Hero Program. Each initiative allows addicts to receive treatment instead of being arrested.

Summer 2016 –  Opened a statewide family therapy practice with offices in Bellefonte, Harrington and Millsboro to address the issues of families from a structural and eco-systemic perspective.

Summer 2016 –  In partnership with the Delaware Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, established our sixth Assertive Community Treatment program to help individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to live independently in the community.

Spring 2016 –Consolidated our Kent County operations (ACT Team, opioid treatment program, DUI program, outpatient counseling, Supportive Services for Veteran Families) to a central location at Carroll’s Plaza ( 1114 South DuPont Highway in Dover), where we also added a Skills Center for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Spring 2016 – Expanded our opioid treatment programs in Kent and Sussex Counties, moving from Long Neck to a larger facility in Millsboro, adding an Intensive Outpatient Program in Long Neck and becoming licensed as an OTP in Harrington.

Spring 2016 – Moved integrated health clinic in Smyrna to a larger location which became a registered opioid treatment program (320 N. High St. Ext.).

Spring 2016 — Opened 16-bed residential substance abuse treatment center for women.

Spring 2016 – Mobile dental van goes into service. The full-service dental clinic treats patients at work-release and violation of probation centers in Delaware’s Department of Correction, with plans of serving our community clinic residents as well.

Fall 2015 – Opened a transition house for women in early recovery near New Castle. The initiative is a partnership with AtTAcK Addiction.  Opened a longer-term transition house for women next-door to the recovery house in 2016.

Fall 2015 – Opened Withdrawal Management Center in Harrington. The facility is the primary detoxification center for residents of Kent and Sussex counties and also offers Intensive Outpatient Treatment and family therapy in an adjacent location.

Summer 2015 – Our social enterprise program Connect to Work was chosen by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) to be the subject of two short documentaries that teach and encourage nonprofits across the country to open similar programs.

Fall 2014 – Opened New Expectations in Newark, a sober living home for up to 17 pregnant, drug-addicted women. The house is a partnership with the Delaware Department of Correction.
